Spring 2002 Conference Thursday, April 18 Our Thursday afternoon meeting will be held at Iowa Central Community College in the Continuing Education Center. A map of the Campus is included. We will be meeting in room 614.
1:00 – 1:30 Welcome to Marshalltown Dr. Richard Doyle, Superintendent Todd Huff, Director of operations
1:30 – 2:00 Rick Simpson will discuss the pitfalls of applying for a “VISION IOWA GRANT.”
2:00 – 2:30 Tony Giannetto, Energy Manager and Teacher in the Marshalltown Schools will discuss some unique ideas in energy management.
2:30 – 3:30 “Playground Safety and Risk Management.” Presented by Mike Moran of the Iowa City Parks And Recreation Department. Mr. Moran is one of the leading authorities on playground safety in the state.
3:30 - Board bus to visit Marshalltown High School and the “Round House” athletic facility.
5:00 – 6:00 Return to Best Western for refreshments and interacting
6:00 - Dinner at the Best Western

9:00 – 10:00 Joe Hansen of Heartland AEA in Des Moines will speak about the program he is building on AEA 11’s web site which will provide training for all mandatory OSHA requirements such as “Bloodborne Pathogens, etc.”
10:00 – 10:15 Break
