The Iowa Schools Buildings & Grounds Association (ISBGA) seeks to assist students to continue their education by offering scholarships to accredited secondary education Iowa colleges. The ISBGA has established a scholarship program for children or legal dependents of its members who plan to obtain an Associate or Bachelor’s degree. The student must meet the following criteria:
Requirements:
1. Have completed at least 12 hours of post secondary education with a GPA of at least 2.25. (Transcripts required)
2. Any college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior who is a legal dependent of a member in good standing is eligible to apply.
3. Must be a dependent of a custodian, maintenance, or Buildings and Grounds Supervisor of a member district of the ISBGA.
4. Scholarships will be applied directly to the student’s U-bill.
5. Must be in undergraduate study at any secondary education Iowa College or University.
6. Must complete application form in total.
Individual interested in being considered must complete all of the application materials and submit the required documents by the deadline application date May 1. A total of no less than @ $2,000.00 will be disbursed annually up to a minimum of three individuals based on selection criteria. The scholarship may range from @ $500.00 to $1,000. depending on candidate interest and evaluation results.
Procedures for Submitting Application:
This information packet contains all the materials necessary to participate in the ISBGA Scholarship program.

Judging:
Each applicant will be assigned an application number to ensure impartiality and objectivity. A committee composed of five ISBGA members will judge the applicants. All judging will be completed by June 1. ISBGA will notify all applicants of scholarship recipients by June 15.
